We accept children from the ages of 6 weeks to 12 year of age.

Monday thru Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

We will be closed legal holidays - New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the Day after, Christmas Eve (when it falls on a work day) and Christmas Day.

The Center and Staff are concerned about your child as an individual.  Their needs and interest are given top priority.  It is expected that there will be a period of adjustment for each child.  It may be a trying time for the child. family and staff.  Because it is normal, it should not be a cause for too much anxiety and concern, however there are some children who are not ready to participate in a group setting.  Therefore, each child is accepted on the condition that he will be able to participate in the Center’s activities.

The full weekly fee will be charged for any child present at much as one day a week.  A charge of one-half the weekly rate will be charged for a child absent from the Center for a full week to hold their place until they return.  School expenses and teacher’s salaries are constant even though a child may not have perfect attendance.  All fees are due in advance by the close of business on Monday of each week.  There will be a $10.00 per week late charge on all fees that are not paid in full on Monday.  There will also be a $30.00 charge for each check returned by the bank for any reason.

If a child is exposed to a communicable disease while at the Center, the parents will be notified.  In the event a child is exposed to a communicable disease at some other place other than the Center, the parents shall notify the Director.  This is for the protection of the children at the Center.  Because of the incubation period of many childhood diseases, a child may possibly attend the Center prior to breaking out.  The Center and parents must be aware of the exposure in order to take the necessary precautions.  Children with contagious diseases will not be allowed to come to the Center.

In the event of severe weather, fire or any other severe conditions precautions will be taken.

The immunization form that is required is the “form 3231 Daycare Certificate”.  This can usually be obtained from your child’s doctor with a phone call.  This must be brought on the child’s first day in the Center and kept current for the duration of the child’s enrollment.

Each child should have their name on any piece of clothing which they might remove during the day; such as hats, coats, sweaters, gloves, training pants, etc.  Baby bottles, baby food jars, diaper bags, etc. must have names on them.  Adhesive tape and laundry markers are handy for this.  All children must wear shoes or sneakers.

Parents are invited and encouraged to visit the Center.  However, the staff will not have the time to chat with the parents and care for the children at the same time.  We do encourage the parents to set up appointments with the Director to discuss the child’s progress and any specific problems that may arise.

The children will be allowed to play outside daily except in inclement weather.  If for any reason you do not want your child to play outside, please send a signed note to that effect.  Make sure your child wears suitable clothing each day.

Medication can only be given after a medication form is obtained from the Center and filled out completely.  The same medication can not be given for more than two weeks unless written authorization is obtained from a physician.  Medication will be given only at noon.

Your child will be put in “time out” for misbehavior.  If this becomes a problem, the parent will be notified.

Our transportation is limited to field trips and transporting children to and from school.  An emergency vehicle form must be filled out on each child being transported.  This is kept on the bus in case of an emergency.

The Center enrolls only the number of children to whom it can give adequate care.  Therefore, if regular services are to be terminated for any reason, written notification must be given one week prior to withdrawal in order that the vacancy can be filled.  If no notice is given, the parents will be held responsible for a regular week’s fee.

All children should be brought to the front office upon arrival.  When leaving your child in the morning or pickup in the afternoon, please do not leave your vehicle in the driveway.  If you need to come in, please use the parking spaces provided.  Having checks or medicine notes already made out will also help.  We realize parents are anxious to get to work and home as soon as possible.

Children who are transported by our bus to public school should be

here no later than 7:15 a.m.  If your child is not picked up by us in the

afternoon, please contact the Center.  This will save a lot of time and worry looking for your child. (continue to page 2)
